The 12th House (Vyaya Bhava) signifies: Losses, expenses, foreign lands, spirituality, moksha, sleep.

The 12th house governs expenditure, losses, foreign residence, isolation, spirituality, moksha (liberation), sleep, dreams, and the subconscious. Called Vyaya Bhava (house of expenditure), it is the final house — representing the end of the material journey.

A strong 12th house gives spiritual wisdom, comfortable foreign residence, peaceful sleep, and eventual moksha. Venus in the 12th house gives luxury in foreign lands and pleasures of the bed. Jupiter here gives spiritual liberation and charitable nature.

The 12th house is a Dusthana (challenging house) for material life but essential for spiritual growth. Saturn here gives isolation and detachment but also deep meditation capability. Ketu in the 12th house is considered excellent for moksha.

The 12th house also governs hospitals, prisons, ashrams — places of isolation. The 12th lord in the 1st house often indicates a person born in a foreign land or someone who looks different from their family.

Body parts: Feet, left eye, sleep. Natural significator: Saturn/Ketu.
