Terms of Service

1. Who we are

AstroMangal ("AstroMangal", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Brewing Conversations Pvt Ltd, a company incorporated in India, with its registered office at 48-B Ambamata Scheme, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Brewing Conversations Pvt Ltd for your use of AstroMangal. Please read them before you use the service.

If anything here is unclear, write to us at support@astromangal.in and we will explain it.

2. Accepting these Terms

By opening the website, creating an account in the app, or using any feature of either, you accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not accept them, please do not use AstroMangal.

If you are agreeing on behalf of a business or another organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it, and "you" then means that organisation.

Our Privacy Policy is part of this agreement. It explains what we collect, how long we keep it and what we do with it, and you should read it alongside these Terms.

3. What these Terms cover

These Terms cover the AstroMangal website at www.astromangal.in and the AstroMangal Android application. Both are covered by this single document; where the two behave differently, the difference is stated explicitly.

In short: the website is free, requires no account, and its calculators run on your own device. The app has an account, stores what you give it, and offers paid features. Clauses marked "(app)" apply only to the app.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use AstroMangal. Under Indian law a person below 18 is a minor, and our service is intended for adults.

By using AstroMangal you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally capable of entering into a binding contract. If you are under 18, please do not use the service and do not create an account.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a minor has created an account or given us personal information, write to support@astromangal.in and we will remove it.

You must also be permitted by the law of the place you are in to use a service of this kind.

5. Your account

Both the app and the paid reports on the website require an account. You sign in with your mobile number, which we verify with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. The free calculators and the free preview of a report do not require an account; signing in happens at the point of purchase.

• Give us accurate details. Your readings are computed from the birth date, time and place you enter, so incorrect details produce a reading that does not describe you. We do not verify what you enter.
• One account per person. Do not create multiple accounts to obtain free credits, trial periods or promotional benefits more than once.
• Your account is personal to you. Keep control of the mobile number and the device used to receive your OTP, and do not let anyone else sign in as you.
• Tell us promptly at support@astromangal.in if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
• You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account, except where it results from a failure on our side.
• We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these Terms, to abuse or harass others, to commit fraud or payment abuse, or to place the service or other users at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

6. What the service is

AstroMangal provides Vedic astrological content and AI-assisted interpretation of it — birth charts, panchang and muhurat information, matching, dosha analysis, horoscopes, numerology, tarot, articles, AI chat, AI-generated reports, and AI palm reading. Which of these are available depends on the surface you are using and may change over time.

On the website, the calculators run on your own device. The birth details you type in stay there and are not sent to us. In the app, your details and results are saved to your account so that you can return to them.

The AI features work by sending your request to a third-party AI provider, which generates the response. We route these requests through OpenRouter, and the model used is Google Gemini 2.5 Flash. What is sent depends on the feature: for chat and reports, your question together with the computed facts of your chart as text; for palm reading, the photograph itself. Our Privacy Policy sets out how this is handled.

The methods, data and computation behind our results are our own and are not published. What we do state is the part that affects you: on the website, the calculation happens on your device.

7. Astrology, AI, and what this service is not

This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read it in full.

AstroMangal provides astrological content and AI-assisted interpretation for personal reflection and cultural interest. It is not professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional.

Nothing on AstroMangal is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Do not use it to decide whether to take, change or stop medication or treatment; to decide a legal position or a court matter; or to decide how to invest, borrow, lend or otherwise commit money. For any of those, consult a doctor, a mental health professional, a lawyer or a licensed financial adviser.

We do not guarantee outcomes and we do not predict the future. Astrological content describes traditional interpretations. It is not a statement of fact about what will happen to you, and no result on AstroMangal should be read as a promise, a forecast or an assurance about your health, marriage, career, examinations, litigation, business or finances.

AI output can be wrong. The AI features generate text from a statistical model. They can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, internally inconsistent, or simply mistaken, and asking the same question twice can produce different answers. Do not treat AI output as verified fact, and check anything that matters against an independent source.

Every decision you take remains yours. You use the content at your own discretion and are responsible for what you do after reading it.

If you are in distress, or facing a medical, legal or financial emergency, please stop and contact a qualified professional or the appropriate emergency service. Astrological or AI content is not an appropriate response to an emergency.

Nothing in this section limits any right you have under Indian consumer law.

8. Acceptable use

AstroMangal is for personal, non-commercial use. When you use it, you agree not to do any of the following.

• Scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically copy our pages, results or content, by any means.
• Access the service through bots, scripts, automated tools or any interface other than the website and the app we provide, or use it to build, train or evaluate another product or model.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code, prompts, data or computational methods behind the service, except to the limited extent that Indian law expressly permits and cannot be contracted out of.
• Resell, sublicense, republish, redistribute or commercially exploit readings, reports, charts or any other output of the service, or present it as your own paid consultation.
• Upload a photograph of another person — including a photograph of their hand — unless that person has given you their consent for it to be uploaded and analysed. You are responsible for holding that consent.
• Upload or transmit anything unlawful, obscene, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, infringing of someone else’s rights, or otherwise prohibited by Indian law, including through the AI chat.
• Use the service to impersonate anyone, to misrepresent your association with any person or organisation, or to deceive another user.
• Interfere with the service — probing, scanning, testing its security, defeating rate limits, overloading it, introducing malicious code, or attempting to gain unauthorised access to any account, server or network.
• Remove, obscure or alter any notice of ownership, or interfere with the advertising the website carries.
• Do not paste passwords, financial account numbers, government identifiers or another person’s private information into an AI conversation.

9. Payments, purchases and subscriptions

The website and the app both sell. On the website we sell personalised digital reports as one-time purchases, individually or as a bundle; there are no subscriptions on the website. In the app, features are paid either as a one-time purchase or as a recurring subscription. The free calculators, and the free preview shown before you are asked to pay, remain free on both.

Prices are shown in Indian Rupees. The price displayed at the time of purchase is the price that applies to that purchase, and applicable taxes are shown or included as indicated at checkout. We may change prices in future, but a change never applies to a purchase you have already made; for a subscription, we will tell you before a changed price applies to a renewal, and you may cancel instead.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. You enter your card, UPI or other payment details with the payment gateway; we do not see or store them. Your use of the gateway is also subject to the gateway’s own terms.

A subscription renews automatically for successive periods at the price and interval shown when you subscribed, until it is cancelled. This is how you keep uninterrupted access — it is not a separate purchase each time.

Where you pay by UPI Autopay, you approve a mandate in your own UPI app. That mandate authorises recurring debits up to the maximum amount shown to you when you approved it, and the payment system sends you a notification before each debit. Debits continue on that mandate until the mandate is cancelled.

A PALM READING is bought before it is written, because it is written from your photograph and there is nothing to write until you have one. When you buy one, the photograph you take is sent from your device to our AI partner at the moment your reading is generated and is never written to our servers or kept in any form. The reading produced from it is stored against your account so you can open it again, and is deleted when you delete your account. The photograph is held only in the browser tab you took it in: if you close that tab before your reading has been written, we no longer have the photograph and you will be asked to take another one. Your purchase stands and you are not charged a second time.

10. Cancelling

A ONE-TIME REPORT PURCHASE (the website, and one-time purchases in the app) cannot be cancelled once payment has completed and the report has been generated, because it is generated for you and delivered immediately. If the payment did not complete, no order exists and nothing is charged. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy sets out when we refund anyway.

A SUBSCRIPTION (app only) you can cancel at any time, and you do not have to give a reason.

• Cancel in the app, in your subscription settings, before the next renewal date.
• You can also withdraw a UPI Autopay mandate directly in your UPI or banking app, in its autopay or mandates section. Withdrawing the mandate stops future debits.
• If you cannot do either, write to support@astromangal.in from the mobile number on your account and ask us to cancel. Please do this before the next renewal date so that the renewal does not go through.
• After cancelling, you keep access for the rest of the period you have already paid for. It is not cut short.
• Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a UPI Autopay mandate or any other standing payment instruction. Cancel the subscription first, or ask us to cancel it as part of the deletion, otherwise the mandate may continue to exist at your bank.

11. Refunds

Our paid features are digital and are delivered as soon as you buy them. A reading, report or chat response is generated immediately and consumed on delivery, so once it has been generated it has been supplied and is not normally refundable simply because you did not like the result — including because a prediction did not come true. Section 7 explains why no result can be guaranteed.

We will refund you in the situations below, and you do not need to argue for it:

• You were charged more than once for the same purchase.
• Money was debited but the purchase did not activate, or the feature you paid for was not delivered.
• A technical fault on our side stopped you from using what you paid for, and we could not fix it.
• A subscription was debited after you cancelled it, or after you withdrew the mandate.
• A charge was made without your authorisation.

To ask for a refund, email support@astromangal.in from the mobile number or address on your account, with the payment reference and the date. We will review it and tell you the outcome. Approved refunds go back to the payment method you paid with, through Razorpay; how long the money takes to appear is set by your bank or payment provider, not by us. This is in addition to your rights under Indian consumer law.

12. Intellectual property

AstroMangal, its name and marks, the website, the app, the text and articles, the design and layout, the compilations and databases, the software, and the computational methods behind our results are owned by Brewing Conversations Pvt Ltd or licensed to us, and are protected by Indian and international law.

We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use AstroMangal and the results it generates for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may share a link to any of our pages. You may keep and read your own readings and reports. Everything else — copying, republishing, redistributing, selling or making derivative works from our content — needs our written permission.

This licence ends if you stop using the service or if we end your access under section 15.

You keep the rights in what you submit — your birth details, your questions, your messages and any photograph you upload. We do not claim ownership of it.

So that we can actually run the feature you asked for, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit and process what you submit, and to send it to the third-party providers described in section 13, strictly for the purpose of providing the service to you and for no other purpose. We do not sell your inputs and we do not use them to train our own models. The licence ends when the content is deleted, subject only to copies retained in routine backups and to anything we are legally required to keep.

If you believe something on AstroMangal infringes your copyright or other rights, write to us at the address in section 19 with enough detail to identify the material and we will look into it.

13. Third-party services and links

AstroMangal depends on third-party providers. AI requests are routed through OpenRouter to Google Gemini 2.5 Flash; the website is hosted and delivered by Vercel; app payments are handled by Razorpay; analytics are provided by Google; advertising is served by Google AdSense; and app one-time passwords are carried by a telecom provider.

These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We choose them carefully, but we do not control them, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions or for an interruption on their side.

The website and app may also link to other sites or resources. Those links are for convenience. We do not control those sites, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for their content or for anything you do there.

14. Advertising

The website is free and is paid for by advertising. We work with Google AdSense, and by using the website you accept that advertisements will be displayed.

Advertisements are selected and served by Google and its partners, not chosen by us. We do not endorse any advertiser, product or offer that appears, we make no representation about it, and any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and them.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using AstroMangal at any time. In the app you may also delete your account, which removes the personal data attached to it — see our account deletion page for what is deleted and what we must keep. Remember that deleting an account does not cancel a payment mandate; see section 10.

We may suspend or end your access, in whole or in part, if you break these Terms, if your use is unlawful or harms other users or the service, if you engage in payment fraud or chargeback abuse, or if we are required to do so by law. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will tell you the reason and give you an opportunity to put it right.

We may also stop offering the service, or a feature of it, generally. If we withdraw a paid feature you have already paid for, or end your access for a reason that is not your breach of these Terms, we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.

Sections that by their nature should survive — the disclaimer in section 7, intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law, and any payment already due — continue to apply after your access ends.

16. Liability

We provide AstroMangal with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or free of delay, that results will be accurate, or that it will meet a particular expectation you have.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or under any right you have as a consumer under Indian law that cannot be contracted out of.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goodwill, or loss of data, however it arises.

In particular, and subject to the paragraph above about liability that cannot be limited, we are not liable for any decision you take, or do not take, on the basis of astrological content or AI-generated output on AstroMangal, or for any consequence of that decision. Section 7 explains why.

Subject to the same paragraph, our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you have actually paid us for the service or feature the claim relates to. Because the website is free, there is no amount paid in respect of it.

These limits apply however the claim is framed, whether in contract, in tort, for breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us and keep us indemnified against any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or reasonable expense arising out of your breach of these Terms, your unlawful or unauthorised use of the service, your infringement of someone else’s rights, or your uploading of a photograph or personal information of another person without that person’s consent.

We will tell you promptly about any such claim, will not settle it without consulting you, and will give you reasonable cooperation in dealing with it.

18. Changes to the service and to these Terms

AstroMangal changes over time. We may add, alter, suspend or withdraw features, and we may change how a feature works — including which AI provider or model sits behind it — so long as the change does not materially reduce a paid feature you are currently paying for.

We may also update these Terms as the product or the law changes. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

If a change is material — for example to payments, to your rights, or to the disclaimer in section 7 — we will give you notice through the app or the website before it takes effect. Continuing to use AstroMangal after that means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service and, in the app, cancel any subscription and delete your account.

19. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, you may contact our Grievance Officer with any complaint about the service, about content on it, or about how your information has been handled.

Please put "Grievance" in the subject line and describe the issue and the outcome you are seeking. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

Raising a grievance with us does not take away any other remedy available to you under Indian law.

20. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of AstroMangal, are governed by the laws of India.

The courts at Udaipur, Rajasthan have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim.

Before going to court, we would ask you to raise the matter with us first under section 19 so that we have a chance to resolve it.

21. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about AstroMangal, and replace anything said or written before.

If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply.

If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it.

You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over our business, provided your rights are not reduced.

Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these Terms.
