Mangal Dosha Cancellation Rules — When Dosha Gets Nullified
मंगल दोष निवारण — कब दोष खत्म होता है
Mangal Dosha (Manglik Dosha) is often feared unnecessarily because there are MANY cancellation rules. In fact, the majority of charts that technically have Mangal Dosha also have one or more cancellation factors that reduce or eliminate its negative effects.
12 Cancellation Rules for Mangal Dosha:
1. Mars in its OWN sign: If Mars is in Aries or Scorpio in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house — Dosha cancelled. 2. Mars in EXALTATION: Mars in Capricorn in any Dosha-forming house — cancelled. 3. Mars with JUPITER: Jupiter's benefic aspect or conjunction with Mars significantly reduces Dosha. 4. Mars in benefic Navamsa: If Mars occupies the Navamsa of Jupiter, Venus, or Moon — reduced. 5. Mutual Manglik: Both partners have Mangal Dosha — mutual cancellation. 6. Mars in 2nd house in Gemini or Virgo: Cancelled (Mercury's signs). 7. Mars in 4th house in Aries or Scorpio: Own sign — cancelled. 8. Mars in 7th house in Cancer or Capricorn: Exalted/friendly — reduced. 9. Mars in 8th house in Sagittarius or Pisces: Jupiter's signs — reduced. 10. Mars in 12th house in Taurus or Libra: Venus's signs — reduced. 11. After age 28: Traditional texts state Mangal Dosha effects reduce significantly after 28. 12. Retrograde Mars: Some authorities consider retrograde Mars as weaker, reducing Dosha severity.
Important: Mangal Dosha should be assessed from the Lagna, Moon, AND Venus charts. If Dosha exists from only one reference point (not all three), its effects are mild.
