ShareSharePost

Purnima (पूर्णिमा) is the Full Moon day — the 15th Tithi of Shukla Paksha. It is one of the most sacred days in the Hindu calendar, associated with completeness, abundance, and spiritual illumination.

Each month's Purnima has special significance: Sharad Purnima (autumn harvest), Guru Purnima (honoring teachers), Buddha Purnima (Buddha's birth), Kartik Purnima (festival of lights on the Ganga).

Astrological effects of Purnima: The Moon is at full strength, amplifying emotions and intuition. People with strong Moon in their chart feel especially energized. Those with weak Moon may experience heightened anxiety.

Rituals on Purnima: Satyanarayan Vrat Katha, Moon bathing (Chandrodaya Snan), charity, and full-day fasting are common practices.
