Your Life Path (Bhagyank / Destiny number) comes from your full date of birth. Add every digit of the date, month and year, then reduce to a single digit from 1 to 9.
Example: born 14 August 1996 → 1+4 + 8 + 1+9+9+6 = 38 → 3+8 = 11 → 1+1 = 2. The Life Path is 2. In the Indian method the compound number it passed through — 38, and its 11 — is read alongside as an influence, but the number itself is always the single digit.
Where the Mulank (root number, from the day alone) describes your outward personality, the Bhagyank describes the arc of your whole life — the lessons and direction you keep returning to.
