Kemadruma Yoga — Moon Isolation, Effects & Powerful Cancellations

केमद्रुम योग — चंद्र अकेलापन और निवारण

ShareSharePost

Kemadruma Yoga is one of the most feared inauspicious yogas in Vedic astrology. It forms when the Moon has no planet in the 2nd or 12th house from it — leaving the Moon isolated without support.

Formation rules: No planet (excluding Sun, Rahu, Ketu) in the 2nd or 12th house from the Moon. Some authorities include Rahu/Ketu in the count, which changes the formation criteria.

Effects: The native may experience poverty despite talent, emotional instability, lack of support from family and friends, sudden reversals of fortune, loneliness, and difficulty sustaining success. The Moon represents the mind — an isolated Moon means the mind lacks emotional support.

Important context: Kemadruma Yoga is extremely common in its basic form (perhaps 20-25% of charts). However, it is almost always cancelled by one of several factors, which is why its severe effects rarely manifest fully.

Cancellation factors (Kemadruma Bhanga): 1. Any planet in a Kendra from the Moon or Lagna 2. Moon in conjunction with another planet 3. Moon aspected by Jupiter or Venus 4. Moon in own sign (Cancer) or exalted (Taurus) 5. Strong Moon in Shukla Paksha (waxing phase) 6. Full Moon (Purnima) birth

Remedies if uncancelled: Worship Goddess Parvati, wear Pearl, chant Chandra mantra on Mondays, donate white items on Mondays, keep a silver ball in your pocket.
