How this muhurta is determined
Gemstone muhurta is planet-specific, so the general weekday rules give way entirely: each stone owns its day, and the matching HORA within that day (the planet's own planetary hour — see the hora table on our panchang) is the fine-tuned window. Morning horas after sunrise are preferred.
The preparation is half the rite: the stone soaks overnight in raw milk or Gangajal, is touched to the deity's feet or incense at dawn, and goes on with the planet's beeja mantra recited 108 times. Shukla paksha, and ideally the planet's own nakshatra (Rohini for pearl's Moon, Pushya for yellow sapphire's Jupiter…), complete the classical form.
