Is buying gold on Saturday really avoided?
Traditionally yes for ornament gold — Saturn's day suits iron, not the Sun's metal. The exception some traditions allow is silver on Saturday. If a Saturday purchase is unavoidable, at least keep it out of Rahu Kaal and your Chandrashtama.
