💬 Which day and time is auspicious for my job interview?
नौकरी के इंटरव्यू के लिए शुभ दिन और समय • computed from live planetary positions
For a job interview, favour Wednesday (Mercury — speech and quick thinking) and Thursday (Jupiter — favour from authority), on a light nakshatra like Ashwini, Hasta or Shravana. Avoid scheduling in Rahu Kaal, and avoid your Chandrashtama days entirely — enter your rashi below to see them.

How this muhurta is determined
An interview is a contest of speech and impression, so Mercury and Jupiter matter most. Mercury governs articulation and wit; Jupiter governs the goodwill of the person across the table. Days ruled by them — Wednesday and Thursday — are classically preferred, with Friday (Venus, charm) a close third.
Within the day, aim for a Shubh, Labh or Amrit Choghadiya, and keep clear of Rahu Kaal — a period considered to scatter outcomes. Morning Abhijit muhurta (around midday, ~48 minutes) is a reliable all-purpose window when nothing else aligns.
If you can choose between slots, prefer the day with better tarabal from your birth nakshatra: Sampat and Mitra taras favour recognition and reward.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Saturday bad for interviews?
Saturday is not ideal for interviews for most roles — Saturn delays and tests rather than favours. But for Saturn-ruled work (labour, mining, iron and steel, old institutions), Saturday interviews are traditionally acceptable.
What if the interviewer fixes a time inside Rahu Kaal?
Attend it — never lose an opportunity to timing anxiety. Do a small positive act before the call (a short mantra, a glass of water, a moment of stillness) and treat your preparation as the muhurta you control.
